Doug Hohener is creating marketing strategies with his own brand of research-based creativity, constantly driven by what he calls an “obsession” with knowing who your audience is and what they truly value.
Doug has created brands across a wide variety of verticals, from home appliance repair and nuclear engineering firms to colleges and multinational non-profits. As the recipient of over 17 international awards for digital solutions, strategy, research, and branding, Doug’s depth of experience is unrivalled.
Doug provides content for several industry trade publications, including Poppulo and the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), and he is a member of several industry organizations, including the following:
- Canadian Internet Registration Authority
- Canadian Marketing Association
- Markham Board of Trade
- Marketing Research and Intelligence Association
- Internet Marketing Association
- The Alternative Board (TAB)
In 2018, Doug became a TAB-certified facilitator and coach to further provide guidance and support to small business owners. Doug also provides mentorship through his involvement with ventureLAB, helping young entrepreneurs develop marketing strategies and messaging to increase their brand awareness. To top it off, Doug has been a featured speaker for the Richmond Hill Creative Symposium and the IABC and a panellist for the Strategic Marketing Markham Board of Trade Small Business Association.
A strong believer in getting to the root of a problem rather than simply executing on a marketing solution, Doug pushes the envelope to expand and change the way we think about marketing.
Each brand Doug builds is an expression of his commitment to help business owners reconnect with their raison d’être by making a difference through market research, strategy, and branding. Doug’s ultimate purpose is to enhance your customers’ experience through a trusted process and proven results.
“If we help businesses better define the value they bring to their customers, then I believe we’ve succeeded.”Doug Hohener
